Does the staff here ever vote?

People are talking about how this board is run - I'm asking questions about that.
As I said earlier, it seems likely the window board will be owned and operated the same way.

In my experience, yes, we do vote... Or are asked for our opinion in how to deal with a matter. When a consensus is reached, action is taken.

However, it is an informal 'conversation' type process... Many 'staff' are inactive or don't participate (something that will be addressed in the near future), so this consensus can be reached with only a few individuals contributing. As Ron mentioned, the final say lies with the administrator.

Excuse my ignorance, I'm not sure which window cleaning board you refer to - but if you are involved in it with Ron, I know Ron will often listen to ideas and thoughts on a better way to do things.

I hope this answers your question as it related to PWI.

Gary, we all just voted to ban you. lol.

To be honest I've never seen a bunch get along and act respectfully of one another than the people on staff here.

Many times we disagree, but we always listen to all sides.

Maybe it's because there's no agenda here and people are just honest with each other.

Steven,
I appreciate the answer - it helps me understand what the term "staff" means, and what it means when someone mentions a staff decision or vote.

When I say it "seems likely the window board will be owned and operated the same way", I'm referring to the Window Cleaning Institute board Ron has been talking about.

No it won't operate the same, its window cleaners. LOL

Thanks for the clarification on the Window Cleaning Institute - there's so much to keep up with outside of our own businesses that it's easy to get lost in the number of boards, groups, associations and all their dealings!

I will third that we are all given the opportunity to give our opinion. Some of us are more likely to disagree then others. When I do, I am usually right, for the record. I also am not one to jump to conclusions, because sometimes that makes a person jump over a cliff.

From what I've experienced with Ron and talking to him about the new forum I'm more than confident that it will be a place that all window cleaners (especially newbies) and suppliers will call home and quickly become the one of the greatest places to get unbiased, real world answers and experience. A place where making a profit isn't the driving force. Education will be!

I think no three disagree more than Scott, Ron and myself on some matters because we all have strong opinions and we aren't shy about discussing them openly.

Both are like brothers to me.

I wish every PWI member could spend more time with them on their home turf and see how well they are respected locally.

Tony,
Are you going to be the administrator for WCI, in a role similar to Steven Button's, here on PWI?

Has Tony Evans been appointed to a position at WCI similar to Steven Button's position here on PWI?
I mean, similar to what has been described so far - Administrator - consults with other staff/area admins on some decisions - has ultimate veto?
