JL Pressure Washing
Here's a 10 story high dryvit building we did Monday. Another one with a lot of mold & mildew to remove. We used the same 125 foot lift from the job the week before. Had 1 day rental left. I originally quoted this for renting an 80ft lift. Since I had a day left on the 125 footer I asked this property if I could move the date up from Wednesday to Monday, saved me a days 80 foot rental, a lot more $$$ in my pocket and I took a couple hundred off their bill.

This cleaned up real nice, the foot print of this building was real small, they just wanted the front done, we cleaned this in 3 hours, set up to roll Easy$$$$

Here's some before & after pics

Here's some more. It was s small foot print of a building, it was on Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach, the lift and our truck and trailer barely fit in the area in front of the building.
Property was real happy, they paid me within 2 days.

I Love PWing and my Xjets

I'm waiting for the day you say you bought a lift or a crane!

So I was just thinking. Are you applying cleaner with xjet? If so I guess that would mean you have to take a bucket full of cleaner up with you. I would think 10 gallons (80-90lbs) is as much as you could take at once with your average 200lb persons...unless you have a really small guy 140lbs or so. If there any truth to this? Seems like it would take alot more time rather than applying with 12v pump (fatboy etc)

X-jets on a lift work so much faster than a roof pump. We love our x-jets too!

Jeff,
When you get two minutes to yourself can you give me a call? I have some questions. 609-310-0322 cell. Thanks in advance.

Some of those lifts are rated for 500lb if not more. X-jet is key with those mold jobs.....and yes Jeff L. is once again the undisputed Condo King of the year already..

Hey Jeff you do any water towers yet? Big money in them but so is the insurance.

Like John said most lifts are rated for 500lbs, we put a 15 gallon drum on lift and sometimes another 5 gallons of straight in case we need to do some strong soft brushing.

I would buy a lift, but then I would have to buy a truck and trailer to move it around and all the liabilty involved. I had a friend buy a lift I used it all the time, local rental place would deliver it, but if they had their own stuff to move I would be put on the back of the list. I use a ton of lifts and sunbelt moves me whenever I want and on time & quick

I havent really looked into them, I use to paint and sandblast them when I was in the steel painters union many years ago. As for insurance I have clause in mine for No Height restrictions now..

Thanks for the replies. For some reason I was thinking lifts were 300lbs instead of 500. That all makes sense now. 15-20 gallons gets you pretty far I guess.

Pretty much. Roof pumps suck down a lot of chemical, and pretty fast.

Hey Shaun- Some smaller lifts are rated at 300lbs like My old Bucket truck you can see on my website www.cleancounty.com was rated at 300lbs. Those big lifts can hold usually 2 guys plus some supplies. I can't imagine the first time what it's like to be on one of those 125-150' lifts and to be that high up and driving them.. I remember when I first bought my bucket truck and just going straight up on it the first time or two was a little freaky and that was only 30' up.. Think about the money and you get pretty brave pretty fast..lol

I hear ya. I've been up to 80' and it definately sways! No shaky handed opertors next to a building!

Hey Jeff, do you mind telling me the cost of the rental for a week? I got a quote on a 120 from Sunbelt here and it seemed really expensive.

The height is just something that you have to get used to. My 60' bucket truck felt a little bit odd when you take it straight up and over the front to work out in front of the truck like out over roofs and on buildings. When I was 10 years old my dad bought a 55' bucket truck and he would let me take it up and learn how to drop trees fast as most of the guys were afraid of heights so they would not go up in it, it was cool!

After years of non-use, the hoses started to dry-rot and seals started drying up so he would have to spend about $1000 every few years and then sold it as he just did not use it that much.

The tall manlifts are great as you can drive them while working instead of worrying about outriggers, taking it down, stopping work, etc.... just move it some and keep on working then move it more.

Highest I have done is 12 story buildings, a lot of times the customer is scared of the price of the lift by the day and sometimes it is a dealbreaker but I explain to them that they can call the rental place to see for themself what they cost to rent. What amazes me is how little diesel they use, I always bring several of the 5 gallon diesel containers to top off the tanks when done and a lot of times the full day is less than 10 gallons used.
Great pictures Jeff.

You know this 125 lift was actually pretty stable compared to smaller lifts, I was surprised. It was only a couple weeks old, maybe since it was new and hadn't been beat to death there wasnt as much play and sway in it
